I am the endless not
Woven with a twisted circle
Known to mathematicians
As infinity.
Poetry is Good for America
I am the endless not
Woven with a twisted circle
Known to mathematicians
As infinity.
There will be
A railroad reunion
There will be snow
And clouds, and rain.
There will be
A railroad reunion
When I ride that Zephyr train.
There is no next year
There is only today.
There is no second chance
My hair is turning gray.
I don’t accept
The notion of coincidence
Yet I’m told to write
This elevator speech
About how we will
Lift you up
And help you find
Your audience.
I can turn water into wine
If we buy the winery
And others mash the grapes
And others tend to the vines.
